Reya's Easter dress

Reya got all dressed up for Easter last Sunday. Steve's mom sent her two dresses beautiful dresses. This is one of them.

Here she is riding in her carseat on the way to church.

And here she is with her Daddy in the parking lot, showing off her pretty dress. It was windy that day (which she hates), so she had to wear the sweater to keep warm.

She doesn't think much of shoes yet. I didn't buy her a single pair of shoes until the last month because she didn't need them. I've read that shoes can actually interfere with the natural growing process of a baby's foot when they are really little. And they don't need them until the start to walk anyway. When we got her first pair of shoes and put them on her feet she was not very happy. She immediately tried to take them off.

Playing with her train

We got Reya a Winnie-the-Pooh train when we were at Target recently. It has wheels and a seat to ride on. It has a bunch of different buttons and interactive activities and lights. It plays music and makes train sounds. She loves it.

Here she is sitting on the train wearing one of the Texas Longhorns outfits that Steve's mom sent for her.

She pushes the train all over the house. Sometimes she gets pretty frustrated when she runs into things (like the dogs' bed) and gets the train stuck.

Sleepy cuddling with Mommy

These pictures are from February. Reya was tired, but she wanted some cuddle time with Mommy first.
She started peeking at Daddy after he got the camera

Waking up from a Nap

These are some cute pictures from February. Steve went to get Reya after she woke up from her nap and took some pictures. She is so excited that someone has come to get her.

Smiling at Daddy. She has her eyes closed in all of these pictures because she hates the bright lights when she wakes up.

Holding her Eeyore stuffed animal. She loves her stuffed animals and has quite a collection.

Reya's Birthday

Reya's 1st birthday was on January 27th. We made her a strawberry cake with pink strawberry frosting and wrote her name on it. She was very excited about it. We gave her a whole piece of cake that night since it was her birthday. She made num-num-num sounds the whole time she was eating.

Reya and her Train

Reya hasn't decided to start walking yet. She will walk sideways while holding onto the couch or a chair. She can stand by herself just fine. If we hold onto her hands while she is standing, she will hold her balance just fine even when we let go.

We got her a Winnie-the-Pooh train toy a couple of weeks ago. She absolutely loves it. It makes all sorts of train sounds which I'm sure Steve just loves to hear at home. It has wheels, so she can push it around. Well, she has started to walk it around as well. She holds onto the back and walks all around the house with it.

Steve took a video of her pushing the train. She is so proud of herself. Of course, as soon as she realized the camera was out, she got distracted and headed right for it.

Bath Time

She'll probably be embarrassed about these pictures when she's a teenager, but I had to have some of Reya taking a bath. They turned out really cute. These are also from March 21st. She doesn't really mind the bath itself, but she hates having her face and hair washed. I usually do that part first because once it's over, she's in a pretty good mood about the whole thing.

No idea she's about to get a bath.
Maintaining her modesty.
Getting washed.
Wrapped up in her cute frog towel.

Playing on the floor

Playing on the floor, March 21st. The doctor said she should spend about 15 minutes a day on her stomach so she can work on her arm and neck muscles. She has a lot of fun laying on her back on the floor too. She moves around alot, she likes watching her rattle (though she doesn't touch it yet), and she stares at the TV if it is on because she loves watching any kind of light.

Practicing her cheerleading moves.

Tummy time.
Trying to lift her head.

Sleeping on Mommy

Reya sleeping on Beverly, March 16th at about seven weeks.

The swing might be even better than the bouncer

I really wanted to get a swing for Reya because I've heard that babies really love them. So I took some of the gift cards I got at my baby showers and used them to help buy this beautiful swing. It's really nice -- it swings side to side and back and forth, it has a moving mobile, it plays lots of different music and nature sounds, and it has a light system that projects moving stars onto the netting that she really loves to look at.

Reya in the swing for the first time -- March 13th at six and a half weeks.

On March 20th at seven and a half weeks. Sleeping, of course.
